Installing Kaspersky Endpoint Agent

Kaspersky Endpoint Agent is installed as part of EPP (Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows or Kaspersky Security for Windows Server).

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows can be installed, for example: locally using the application installation wizard, locally from the command line, or remotely through Kaspersky Security Center. Regardless of the method used, during installation, you must choose components of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows that you want to install.

By default, Kaspersky Endpoint Agent is not selected fro installation as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows. You need to select Kaspersky Endpoint Agent for installation in the list of components of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows.

Example:

If you are installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows remotely via Kaspersky Security Center, you can select Kaspersky Endpoint Agent for installation in the list of components:

  1. Open the KSC console.
  2. In the Advanced folder in the console tree, Remote installation subfolder, select the Installation packages subfolder.
  3. In the list of installation packages, select the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows package and open it by double-clicking.

    If the installation package for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows has not been created, create it. For more information about creating installation packages in Kaspersky security Center, see Kaspersky Security Center Online Help.

  4. Select the Settings section.

    In the right part of the window, the list of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows components is displayed.

  5. Select the check box next to Kaspersky Endpoint Agent.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Click OK.

    Kaspersky Endpoint Agent is installed as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows.
