About data provision
You can view information about the data provided to Kaspersky while using previous versions of the application:
To provide this core functionality, while You are using the Software the Rightholder has to receive from Your device and process information about the installed Software, the scanned objects, information about the Computer and devices connected thereto, the Computer’s activity on the internet, specifically:
- Information about the application: application ID, full version of the application (major, minor, build, patch), application type, code of the application’s localization, application ID on My Kaspersky, application customization code.
- Information about the user's device: device name in encrypted form, network name of the device, device type, unique ID of the device, depersonalized device ID, unique ID of the device on My Kaspersky, information about the start/end of device use.
- Information about the operating system (OS): OS type, OS version, version of installed update packages (major, minor, build, Service Pack, Build).
- Information about the application installation: unique ID of the application installation, application installation date.
- Information about the user: depersonalized user ID.
- Information about the My Kaspersky user account: unique ID of the My Kaspersky user account, My Kaspersky user name, one-time password for registering the device on My Kaspersky, data for registering the device on My Kaspersky while connecting to the My Kaspersky account.
- Information about the child’s profile: child’s name, child’s date of birth, child's icon within the application, child’s ID.
- Information about installed applications: data structure with general information about the application installation, file name, application ID, application version, file path, file creation time, application metadata, start/end of the application use, number of times third-party applications were started, checksum (MD5 and SHA-256) of the scanned file, checksum (MD5 and SHA-256) of the certificate’s public key, certificate’s signature, category assigned to the scanned object (based on the Rightholder’s classification), age categories assigned to the object, availability of a signature, availability of a trusted certificate for the file, indication of whether it is included in the software package, name and version of the software package, vendor of the software package, image and resolution of the application icon, list of IDs of removed applications, event date.
- Information about agreements accepted by the user: ID of the agreement, agreement type, agreement version, indicator of acceptance of the agreement, time when acceptance of the agreement was changed, date and time when this data was transmitted.
- Information about the user's web activity: web addresses of visited websites, domain parts of web addresses that the user entered in the browser address bar or opened from search systems, texts of the user’s search requests.
- Information about the statuses of a child’s requests for additional time to use the device, child’s requests to access a website, child’s requests to access an application, time of the event, request ID, message text, lifespan of the request.
- Information about scanned web addresses: web address, web page header, reason for blocking the web address, date of the event, IP address of the blocked website in anonymized form, list of names of allowed, monitored and blocked categories of websites according to the Rightholder’s classification, value indicating whether the web address is on the whitelist or blacklist, value of the web address Referrer, type and version of the utilized protocol, ID of the request type, port number.
- Information about the Rightholder’s service: service ID, token type, ID issued by the service when the application is successfully registered (subsequently used for authentication and registration of services on the specific device), ID issued by the service when a user–device link is successfully registered/authenticated, ID issued by the service when the user is successfully authenticated on My Kaspersky, session token, session token issued by the service when a user–device–child-profile link is successfully registered/authenticated, data needed to receive an authorized session token, value indicating the necessity of returning an NS token, EKP token (key, user region, lifespan of the token, signature, short password flag).
- Information about the version of databases for file categorization used by the software and the ID of the database record used during a scan.
- Information about the quality of the installed application update: updater version, type and version of the update task, status of the update task completion, application health status, type of error that may have occurred during the update, number of errors, crashes and unsuccessful terminations of the update task, ID of the application component performing the update, unique ID of the update task start (generated randomly when the task is started and not changed until the task is completed).
- ID of the Help section.
- Time of events related to application operation.
- Other technical information: set of preferences, name of the set of preferences, ID of the set of preferences received by the device.
The Rightholder processes data for marketing purposes in accordance with the Marketing Statement in order:
- To improve the quality, appearance, and performance of the Rightholder’s Software, products, services, and infrastructure by analyzing users' experience, interactions, and level of satisfaction with the Software.
- To offer You security solutions that best match Your needs.
- To provide You with the relevant content and advertisement, which relates to the Rightholder’s products, solutions, and services.
- To create categories of groups of users based on certain parameters in order to provide relevant information to these groups about maintaining security level, marketing offers, and promotional materials, which relates to the Rightholder’s products, solutions, and services.
Certain data which is processed under this Marketing Statement could be considered personal data according to laws of some countries. With Your consent, the following data will be automatically sent on a regular basis to the Rightholder under this Marketing Statement:
- Information about the operating system (OS): version of the OS, version of the OS Service Packs, OS type, OS edition, extended information about OS edition, OS product type, bitness.
- Information about the application: full version of the application, localization ID of the application, application ID, application type according to the Kaspersky Security Network reference.
- Information about the application installation: application installation date, unique ID of the application installation, installation type, full name of the partner, build ID in PPCS.
- Information about the computer: unique ID of the computer where the application is installed, device type, device model.
Data processed in a form that doesn't allow to associate it with a particular individual
To improve the quality of products, the Rightholder has to receive and process the following data: information about the use of Kaspersky Security Network (KSN): KSN identifier, software identifier, full version of the application, depersonalized IP address of the user’s device, indicators of the quality of fulfillment of KSN requests, indicators of the quality of the processing of KSN packets, indicators of the number of KSN requests and information about the types of KSN requests, date and time when statistics started being sent, date and time when statistics stopped being sent, KSN protocol version.
