How to remotely manage your devices via Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console
If the devices in your organization have Kaspersky Small Office Security installed, you can manage their protection remotely. In Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console, you can:
- View a list of security issues and fix them remotely
- Scan devices for viruses and other threats
- Update databases and application modules
- Enable and disable protection components
- Control your mobile devices should they get lost or stolen
To manage your connected devices’ protection remotely:
- Create an account in Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console. For instructions, see this guide.
- To connect a computer to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console:
- PC and File servers. For instructions, see this guide.
- Mobile devices. For instructions, see this guide.
How to update antivirus databases
To update the antivirus databases of the connected devices remotely:
- Sign in to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console.
- In the upper-left corner, click Devices.
- Select the devices needed or check the box Select all Make sure that this option is unavailable for mobile devices.
- Click Update.
Antivirus databases on the selected devices will be updated.
How to run Quick or Full scan
To run a quick or full scan task on the connected devices remotely:
- Sign in to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console.
- In the upper-left corner, click Devices.
- Select the devices needed or check the box Select all Make sure that this option is unavailable for mobile devices.
- Click Quick Scan or Full Scan.
The scan will be run on the devices chosen.
How to enable or disable protection components
To enable or disable protection components on your connected devices remotely:
- Sign in to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console.
- Go to the Devices tab.
- Place the mouse pointer over the device needed and click Manage.
- Select Components and enable or disable components by clicking corresponding switches. “Green” means that this protection component is enabled, “gray” — disabled.
Protection components will be enabled or disabled on the devices chosen.
How to manage mobile devices’ protection
How to manage mobile devices’ protection remotely:
- Sign in to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console.
- Go to the Devices tab.
- Place the mouse pointer over the mobile device needed and click Manage.
- You can:
- Eliminate threats should they arise.
- Use the features of the Anti-Theft component. For the instructions on how to set up the Anti-Theft component, see Online Help.
We recommend configuring Anti-Theft and Privacy Protection components as soon as you have you mobile device connected to your account. Otherwise you won’t be able to use these components remotely.
