About Kaspersky Security Integration with SolarWinds RMM
Kaspersky Security Integration with SolarWinds RMM allows Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to automate a number of routine operations, to benefit from automated deployment through native tools of SolarWinds RMM, and to see all crucial information in a single console. SolarWinds RMM administrators can use Kaspersky Security Integration with SolarWinds RMM to perform the following operations:
- Deploy Kaspersky security applications on managed devices by means of the native SolarWinds RMM deployment mechanism.
- Get information about a device, including the Kaspersky application name and version number, and the device status.
If a device has an issue and requires your attention, a detailed error message in the device properties alerts you.
- Get information about the latest anti-virus database update date.
Depending on the date of the latest database update, the device status can be changed. By default, the integration provides settings that suit most customers, but those settings can be changed if necessary.
- Get information about the latest virus scan date.
Depending on the latest virus scan date, the device status may be changed. By default, the integration provides settings that suit most customers, but those settings can be changed if necessary.
- Set automation rules based on the available information:
- Installation of the Kaspersky security application.
If a device does not have a Kaspersky security application installed, you can set a rule to automatically install it on all devices added to SolarWinds RMM.
- Update of anti-virus databases.
You can set an automation rule that checks the date of the database update on all devices. If the databases are too old, the rule automatically starts an update operation. You can also configure what you consider to be old databases.
- Start of a virus scan.
You can set an automation rule that checks the latest virus scan date on all devices. If the virus scan was run too long ago, the rule automatically starts a virus scan. You also can configure what you consider to be too long a time.
- Installation of the Kaspersky security application.
If necessary, you can easily find a problematic device in the console of the Kaspersky solution you use: Kaspersky Security Center or Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud. You can just search for the device with the same name as the one displayed in SolarWinds RMM.
