How to configure remote management using Kaspersky PURE 3.0 installed on networked computers

Home Network Control is designed for remote control of Kaspersky PURE 3.0 installed on networked computers Remote management can be configured with the help of the wizard.

To configure remote management, perform the following actions:

Step 1. Launch Home Network Control

  1. Open Kaspersky PURE 3.0.
  2. At the bottom of the window click the Home Network Control button.

  1. In the Home Network Control window click the Start using Home Network Control button.

Step 2. Set administrator password for Home Network Control

If you use Home Network Control to remotely manage Kaspersky PURE 3.0 via a local network, then the password for Home Network Control must be the same on all computers in the network. Also for correct work of Home Network Control each computer in the local network should have a unique name.

  1. If access to Home Network Control was not protected, the Protect with Administrator Password window will appear. In the window enter a password in the fields Password and Confirm Password.
  2. Check the Save password for current session box.
  3. Click the Specify password button.

If you have password-protected access to other application components, in the open window click the Apply current password button to password-protect access to Home Network Control with the same password. 

If you have already set protection with an administrator password, then in the open window enter your password.

Step 3. Searching for computers

To see computers from office network in the Home Network Control, the status Trusted network or Local network should be set on each computer in the Firewall settings for your office network. If you cannot connect to a remote computer with Kaspersky PURE 3.0 installed, then you may need to change Firewall settings.

  1. During the first launch of Home Network Control computer search is performed automatically. 

To stop the search, in the left part of the window click the Stop search button. 

To resume computer search in the selected network, click the Searching computers button.

You can change the list of found computers by using the Add computer manuallyDelete form the list and Clear list buttons.

 

  1. Check the Hide computers not controlled box, to display only controlled computers.

After the initial setting, remote management over protection tasks, such as scan for viruses and update of antivirus databases, will become available.
