Known issues that occur during migration to Kaspersky Security Center 11
Updates are not installed on workstations
Issue
If you have installed Kaspersky Security Center 11 and restored a copy of Kaspersky Security Center 10 on it, workstations will stop receiving updates.
Cause
The path to к KLSHARE was changed to %Programdata%\KasperskyLab in Kaspersky Security Center 11. When restoring from backup, the old path to the Administration Server repository is restored as well, and updates are downloaded to the folder which is no longer used.
Solution
Try one of the following options:
- When installing Kaspersky Security Center 11, specify the path that corresponds to the value in Kaspersky Security Center 10.
- After restoring from backup, delete the Download updates to the Administration Server repository task and create a new one.
The untrusted certificate error appears when opening Kaspersky Security Center 11 Web Console
Issue
If you have installed Kaspersky Security Center 11 and restored a copy of Kaspersky Security Center 10 on it, you will get the following error upon attempts of opening Kaspersky Security Center 11 Web Console: «Administration Server has untrusted self signed certificate. Please, reconfigure the application with correct certificate for Administration Server».
Cause
When restoring from backup, the certificate used by Kaspersky Security Center 11 Web Console is changed.
Solution
- Open Control Panel → Programs and Features.
- Select Kaspersky Security Center Web Console and click Uninstall/Change.
- Select Update and click Next.
- Select Change configuration and click Next.
- Choose Generate new certificate, click Next and run the process.
Access will be restored.
