Kaspersky Thin Client version 2.0 has the following limitations:

  • Kaspersky Thin Client 2.0 supports storing only 120 certificates in the thin client storage.
  • For correct remote session operation when connecting via RDP to a remote desktop running Windows 7, deselect Improve graphics performance under Settings in the thin client interface or in the Web Console.
  • When connecting to virtual desktops deployed in Citrix and VMware Horizon infrastructures, redirection of USB drives, tokens, smart cards, and printers/MFPs is not supported.
  • Kaspersky Thin Client 2.0 supports connection to only one virtual application within a remote session.
  • Tonk 1200 and Centerm F620 thin clients do not provide platform-level support for changing the playback volume and muting the sound on equipment connected to the thin client via a mini-jack connector. This limitation does not affect audio control functionality in the remote environment that the thin client connects to.
  • If a monitor is set to a resolution of 1366x768, the image may fail to cover the entire screen. In this case, we recommend adjusting the monitor's aspect ratio settings.
  • Kaspersky Thin Client does not support data transfer over the IPv6 protocol.
  • Kaspersky Thin Client does not support multimedia keyboards, additional keyboards, or other control elements and indicators on multimedia keyboards and mice.
  • Kaspersky Thin Client supports redirection of USB drives with storage capacity of up to 128 GB to a remote desktop.
  • The Kaspersky Security Management Suite web plug-in supports uploading of certificates only in DER format. The size of an uploaded certificate must not exceed 8 KB.
  • Kaspersky Thin Client does not support connecting and disconnecting monitors during a remote session.
  • Correct operation of the built-in DHCP client cannot be guaranteed when connected to a DHCP server that does not comply with the RFC 2132 standard.
  • When Kaspersky Thin Client is connected to remote desktops running Astra Linux, ALT Linux, or RED OS operating systems, configuration of the desktop appearance is not supported (this includes smooth fonts, menu animation, display of desktop background, display of window contents while dragging, and display of the user interface theme selected in the settings).
  • When Kaspersky Thin Client is connected to Astra Linux, ALT Linux, or RED OS guest operating systems, several connection errors cannot be displayed in the user interface. For example, display of "password expired" errors is not supported.
  • An image may fail to be displayed on a monitor that is connected to a thin client using an HDMI-DP adapter.
  • Redirection of smart cards, USB drives, printers/MFPs, and tokens to a remote desktop running Microsoft Windows 7 is not supported.
  • When connecting to a remote desktop running Microsoft Windows 7, display of images on two monitors is not supported.
  • Redirection of JaCarta smart cards and tokens may not work correctly. In this case, we recommend updating the JaCarta Unified Client software package to version 3.0 and higher.
  • Redirection of USB drives and printers/MFPs is not guaranteed if they were reconnected during a remote session.
  • The first time Kaspersky Thin Client connects to a remote desktop running an Astra Linux, ALT Linux, or RED OS operating system, operation of a second monitor in extended desktop mode is not guaranteed.
  • When connected to a remote environment in Web Access, audio playback may be unstable.
  • When connecting two monitors with different resolutions, the interface may not function properly if one of the monitors has a resolution less than 1920x1080.
