How to enable or disable Self-Defense in Kaspersky Internet Security 2015

Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 features the Self-Defense component that protects the application from malware and ensures its stable operation.  In some cases, you may need to disable Self-Defense (for example, for deleting large trace files).

To enable or disable Self-Defense, do the following:

  1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2015.
  2. In the lower left corner of the main application window, click Settings.

  1. In the Settings window, go to the Additional section and select Self-Defense in the right frame.

  1. If the access to the application settings is password-protected, enter your password and click Continue.

Enter the password to enable or disable Self-Defense of the product

  1. Select or clear the Enable Self-Defense check box.

  1. In the Attention! window, click Continue.

Click Continue.

  1. Close the main application window.
