How to enable or disable Self-Defense in Kaspersky Internet Security 2016

You may need to disable the Self-Defense component of Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 to delete the existing trace records of the product if they take up too much space on your hard drive.

To enable or disable Self-Defense, do the following:

  1. Open the Settings window in Kaspersky Internet Security 2016.
  2. If the access to the program is password-protected, enter your password in the Settings window, select the Save password for current session check box and click Continue.

  1. In the Settings window, go to the Additional section and select Self-Defense in the right frame.

  1. In the Self-Defense settings window, select or clear the Enable Self-Defense check box.

  1. In the Attention! dialog, click the Continue button.

Confirm the selected settings.
