  • For some vulnerabilities, the actions that are recommended to fix them may be displayed incorrectly.
  • Some custom trusted updaters may not be supported by the Application Startup Control component.
  • Blocking of digital cameras or similar devices may lead to hanging of Microsoft Windows XP upon reboot.
  • FTP clients can run in passive mode only if at least one of the following components is enabled: Web Anti-Virus, Web Control, Mail Anti-Virus, IM Anti-Virus.
  • Certain Proactive Defense and Self-Defense features run with restrictions under 64-bit operating systems.
  • During use of filtering by content category and by data type category in Web Control, incorrect categories may be assigned to some websites.
  • The "Application Activity Monitor" window does not display information about applications that are running under the administrator's account.
  • When running under server operating systems, Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows does not notify the user of a new active infection detected. The infection case is logged and sent to Kaspersky Security Center 9.
  • The operating system's performance may be impaired when blocking scanners connected over the FireWire interface.
  • Access to devices blocked by Device Control can be obtained by using some virtualization tools.
  • Problems may be encountered when attempting to log in to the system, if a blocking rule is set for access to the hard drive where the operating system is installed.
