Back up data
You can create a backup copy of your vault at any time.
When creating a backup copy of the vault, Kaspersky Password Manager exports entries to a file stored on your device. The backup copy is protected by the master password used when the backup copy was created. The backup copy is stored in encrypted form in the EDB format. By default, Kaspersky Password Manager creates backup copies in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Kaspersky Password Manager\Backup.
You can transfer a backup copy of your vault to other devices. If you create a new vault, you can import data from the backup copy into the new vault.
- Open the main application window.
- In the left menu panel, click
.
The application settings open.
- Select the Import/Export section.
- In the Backup copy section, click Create Copy.
- In the window that opens, specify the folder where you want to save the backup copy of your vault.
- Click OK.
The application will create a kpm_<copy creation date> subfolder in the specified folder and place the backup copy of the vault in it.
