Add entries to the vault
Add entries from the main application window
- Open the main application window.
- In the left menu panel, click
.
The All entries section opens.
- Click
and select the entry type you want to add.
Entry window opens.
- Fill out the entry with the information you want to save.
- Click Save.
The entry is added to the vault.
You also can add websites, addresses and bank cards from your browser. When you fill out an online form, Kaspersky Password Manager suggests saving the form information.
Kaspersky Password Manager also prompts you to update an entry if you:
- Change or restore your password for a website.
- Sign in to a website with new credentials.
- Enter a new card holder name, expiration date, or validation code for a previously added to Kaspersky Password Manager bank card number.
Kaspersky Password Manager automatically detects the website domain level and prompts you to specify the authentication scope. You can save one account for a website and use it to log in on website subdomains. If you use different accounts for a second level domain and subdomains, you can save them as separate entries.
Add entries from a browser window
- Open a browser with the Kaspersky Password Manager extension installed.
- Go to a website that requires you to enter information that you want to save in Kaspersky Password Manager (for example, login and password).
- On the website, enter the information in the relevant fields.
Kaspersky Password Manager recognizes the entered data and prompts you to save it in the vault.
- Add additional information that you want to save (for example, comments).
- Click Save.
The entry is added to the vault.
