How to configure a secure connection for selected Wi-Fi networks
If you regularly connect your device to a specific Wi-Fi network, you can preconfigure secure connection settings for that network.
To configure secure connection for selected Wi-Fi networks:
- Open the main application window.
- In the main application window, click the button
.
- Select the Settings item in the drop-down menu.
The Settings window opens.
- Select the Apply general rules on connection to Wi-Fi networks check box.
- Click the Settings button.
This opens the General rules for connecting to Wi-Fi networks window.
- Click the Manage known Wi-Fi networks button.
This opens the Manage known Wi-Fi networks window. Wi-Fi-networks to which you connected earlier are displayed in this window. If you have not connected to WiFi networks, this list is empty.
- Select the Wi-Fi network for which you want to configure secure connection settings.
- Click the Edit button.
This opens the Secure connection settings for <name of Wi-Fi network> window.
- In the Action on connection to the Wi-Fi network <name of Wi-Fi network> section, select an action for this network:
- Not specified. When you connect a device to a Wi-Fi network, the application uses the general rules for Wi-Fi networks.
- Enable secure connection automatically. When you connect a device to a Wi-Fi network, the application establishes a secure connection.
- Ignore. When you connect a device to a Wi-Fi network, the application does not establish a secure connection.
- If you selected the Enable secure connection automatically option during the previous step, in the Virtual server drop-down list, select the country through which you want to establish a secure connection. If you have the standard version of the application, only the Select automatically option is available in the drop-down list. In this case, the application chooses the virtual location for you.
- Click the Save button.
