How to remove viruses from your computer before installing a Kaspersky Lab application

The following errors may occur during installation of a Kaspersky Lab application:


Causes for the errors may be the following:

  • Another antivirus solution installed on your computer.
  • Remaining files of deleted antivirus applications.
  • Malware infection.

In case of an error, the wizard will prompt you to download and run the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool to eliminate the risk of virus infection.  

If the issue persists, follow the steps below.


Uninstall the existing antivirus software and try to install a Kaspersky Lab application once again.


Use Kaspersky Rescue Disk
