If you get a certificate error when opening a website in the Mozilla Firefox browser, install the Kaspersky Lab software certificate to the browser manually.

To install the certificate to Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Copy the certificate to any easily accessible location, e.g. to Desktop. The certificated is located in the folder: С:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\AVPX.0.0\Data\Cert\(fake)Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Root Certificate.cer where X stands for the application version.
    ProgramData is a hidden folder. To access it, enable display of hidden files and folders.

  1. In the web browser window, click the settings button common_13585_03 and select Options

  1. Click AdvancedCertificatesView Certificates.

  1. In the Certificate Manager window, click Authorities → Import.

  1. Find the Kaspersky Lab certificate file you copied earlier and click Open.

  1. Select all check boxes and click OK.

The issue may occur in other browsers. It occurs with the following Kaspersky Lab products installed:

  • Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 / 2016
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2017 / 2016
  • Kaspersky Total Security 2017 / 2016
