How to upgrade macOS to Big Sur (version 11.0) with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11 for Mac installed

This article concerns Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11 for Windows (version 11.1.0.210).
 
 
 
 

After upgrading macOS to Big Sur (version 11.0), Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac version 11.0.1 and earlier will stop working. Install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.1.0 for Mac on top of the version that you are using. For instructions, see this article.

Before upgrading your macOS to Big Sur (version 11.0):

  1. Upgrade Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac to version 11.1.0 or later.
  2. Apply the configuration profile on the device. For instructions, see this article.

If the configuration profile is not applied, allow all necessary permissions for the application after upgrading the operating system.

  1. Upgrade the operating system to macOS Big Sur (version 11.0).
  2. Allow interception of encrypted traffic and the installation of the root certificate. To do that, open Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac, open the Essential Protection window and click Allow for Encrypted web traffic inspection.

  1. Click Continue.

The operating system and the application will be upgraded and ready to use.
