How to start a scan in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014

Scan - This is an important component of your anti-virus software; it is designed to search for and identify malicious objects. Perform scans regularly to protect your computer from malware and threats.

Kaspersky Lab experts have selected the following scan options:

  • Full scan - A thorough scan of the entire system. By default, the following objects are scanned: System Memory; Objects used when the system is started; System Backup Storage; Email databases; Hard disks, removable disks, and network drives.
  • Quick Scan - This is a scan of objects that are loaded when the operating system starts; it also includes a scan of system memory and disk boot sectors.
  • Custom Scan - This is a scan of any file system object selected by the user.
  • Removable Drives Scan - This is a scan of the removable drives that are connected to the computer.
