How to improve computer performance by configuring Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015

In some cases Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 may slow down the work of computer or certain applications due to the lack of system resources. You can improve the performance of your computer by doing the following: 

  1. Open Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015.
  2. In the lower part of the main application window, click Settings.

In the main window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015, click Settings 

  1. In the Settings window, go to the Performance section and select the following check boxes:
  • In the Battery Saving section, select the check box Disable scheduled scan tasks while running on battery power.
  • In the Gaming Profile section, select the Use Gaming Profile check box. This option optimizes the settings of all Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 components when gaming applications are running in full-screen mode. For example, pop-up notifications will not be displayed.  

 In the Settings window, select check boxes in Battery Saving and Gaming Profile sections

  • In the Computer resources section, select the following check boxes:
  • In the Computer resources section, clear the check box Search for softaware that is intended to conceal traces of a malicious program in the system (rootkits). Rootkit search will be performed in background mode.

In the Computer resources section of the settings window, select the required check boxes

  1. Click the link Pause File Anti-Virus. In the Pause File Anti-Virus window, you can do the following:
  • To set the period of time when the work of File Anti-Virus is paused, select the check box and set the time.
  • If you want to pause the work of File Anti-Virus at startup of a certain application, click Add.

Configure File Anti-Virus

  • In the Open window, find the executable file of the application (with the .exe extension) and click Open.

To pause the work of File Anti-Virus at startup of a certain application, select the application in the Open window

  • In the Pause File Anti-Virus window, click Save.

Specify the time when the work of file Anti-Virus will be paused and click Save

  1. Close the main application window.
