The Trusted zone is a list of objects that are excluded from scan scope of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012. You can form the trusted zone by various settings. Depending on the objective, your list may be composed of objects included in:

  • Exclusion rules
  • Trusted applications

About exclusion rules

Exclusion rules are conditions under which an object is not scanned by the application. In Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012, you can create exclusion rules for the following components:

  • File Anti-Virus
  • Mail Anti-Virus
  • Web Anti-Virus
  • Application Control
  • Proactive Defense
  • Scan
  • System Watcher

An exclusion rule can be created by two parameters:

  • Object. You can specify the name of a file, folder, or a mask for object names.
