How to save report files created using Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013

In order to resolve problems, connected with incorrect work of the application, failures of the third-party applications or OS failures, Kaspersky Lab experts may need additional information about the processes launched on the computer, detailed reports of the application components work, dumps of the application crash. 

For the convenience all necessary utilities to collect information have been added to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013. These utilities can now be managed via the application interface.

You can upload the collected info files to the Kaspersky Lab server. If by some reasons you cannot upload trace files, AVZ log to the server (for example you are not connected to the Internet at the moment), you can save these files locally and send them later, when you wish.

In order to save files on your computer, perform the following actions:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. Click the Support link in the lower left part of the window.

  1. Click Support Tools in the lower left part of the Support window.

  1. Click the button Send service data to Technical Support.

  1. Check the reports which need to be saved.
  2. Click Send.

  1. In the Enter request number window click Cancel.

  1. In the open dialog window click Yes.

  1. Select the folder into which you would like to save the archive with reports. By default, log and trace files are saved into the folder My Documents (for OS Windows XP) or in the folder Documents (for OS Windows Vista/7).
  2. Enter the name of the archive.
  3. Click Save.

  1. Wait until the archive is created and saved on the hard drive.

  1. Close all windows.
