The approximate bandwidth of your network is calculated as follows:

<bandwidth> = <EPS> x <detection size> x 8 / (1000 x 1000)

Here,

  • <EPS>—Number of events per second to be processed by Kaspersky CyberTrace.
  • <detection size>—Approximate size of each detection event. Can be set to 2.5 KB.

According to this formula and providing some bandwidth reserve, we recommend that you use the following rule:

  • If your planned EPS is less than 40,000, you need a 1 Gbps network.
  • Otherwise, you need a 10 Gbps network.
