If you have purchased a boxed version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015, you can use the product installer as a Rescue Disk. Rescue Disk is used when it is impossible to disinfect malicious objects by means of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 (for example, your operating system fails to boot).

To boot your computer from Kaspersky Rescue Disk, do the following:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Press the Delete key on the keyboard until BIOS boots.

  3.  Most commonly, the Delete or F2 keys are used for loading the BIOS menu. The keys F1, F10, F11, F12 might be used for some motherboards, as well as the following key combinations:

    • Ctrl+Esc
    • Ctrl+Ins
    • Ctrl+Alt
    • Ctrl+Alt+Esc
    • Ctrl+Alt+Enter
    • Ctrl+Alt+Del
    • Ctrl+Alt+Ins
    • Ctrl+Alt+S
Information on how to enter the BIOS menu is displayed on the screen when the operating system starts to load:

boot the computer and enter BIOS setup

  1. In BIOS, select the BOOT tab and set CD/DVD-ROM as the First boot device.
  2. Save the changes and exit BIOS.

select CD/DVD-ROM as the first boot device

  1. When the Kaspersky Rescue Disk title appears on the screen, press any key on the keyboard in 10 seconds time, otherwise the system boots from your hard drive.
  2. Start working with the Rescue Disk.

You can also record the image of Rescue Disk on a CD or USB device form the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 interface, or you can copy the Rescue Disk image file to a local or network folder.
