How to generate reports with the KL Logs Gather tool for Mac OS (OS X)

Click Download to get the KL Logs Gather tool.


When processing your request, Kaspersky Lab technical support may require reports generated by the KL Logs Gather tool. The tool collects a system information report, trace files and crash dump files.

To generate reports using KL Logs Gather:

  1. Download the archive.
  2. Open Finder and go to the Downloads folder.
  3. Open the archive.

  1. Find the KLlogsGather script in the list of files and double-click it.

  1. If you see:
    • A window with a warning, click Open.

    • Confirming the running of KL Logs Gather

    • A window with the message “KLlogsGather can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”, click OK and allow the script to run in the system settings. See the instructions below.

    • Window with a message that KL Logs Gather can’t be run

  1. If the text editor opened instead of KL Logs Gather, run the tool via Terminal. See the instructions below.
  1. Wait until the KL Logs Gather script has finished running and close the Terminal window.

An archive called SendToKL containing the reports will be created on the Desktop. 

Submit a request to Kaspersky Lab technical support via My Kaspersky and attach the SendToKL file.
