Installation error during an automatic version update

During an update and installation of a new version of Kapersky Free, you may receive the error message that the application has been updated but old version files have not been removed. Should this happen, do the following:

  1. Download the latest version of the product from the Kaspersky Lab website.
  2. Remove the existing version using the removal tool. To download the tool and learn how to use it, follow this link.
  3. Restart your computer.
