We recommend using the latest versions of Kaspersky applications and solutions to ensure the best protection and get full access to new features and updates.
The MDR solution uses Kaspersky Security Network (KSN) to send telemetry from the assets.
Kaspersky Private Security Network (KPSN) is a solution that allows users of devices with Kaspersky applications installed to obtain access to reputation databases of Kaspersky Security Network, and other statistical data, without sending data to Global KSN from their own devices.
The MDR solution supports two operation modes on the assets:
The MDR configuration file includes the KPSN configuration file. For details on configuring KPSN, refer to Kaspersky Security Center documentation.
To ensure secure transmission of customer telemetry to Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response, Kaspersky periodically updates the encryption keys for MDR telemetry data. Refer to the following article for details: Periodic update of KPSN configuration files.
If you install the KPSN configuration file on the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server, KPSN is automatically disabled when you revoke your consent with the terms of using the MDR solution.
