Error 1711 when installing a Kaspersky application

When installing a Kaspersky application, the error in the Windows Installer may occur: “Error 1711. An error occurred while writing installation information to disk. Check to make sure enough disk space is available, and click Retry, or Cancel to end the install.”


  • There is not enough free space on the disc.
  • Problems with the Windows Installer.


  1. Check if there is enough free space on the disk.
    To find out how much space you may need, check the system requirements:

    Free up some space, if necessary.

  2. Remove temporary files from the folders:
    • %temp%
    • %systemroot%\Temp

If there is enough free space on the disc, but the error occurs, try to install any other application. If the error persists, then the problem is in the Windows Installer. Contact Microsoft support.

If the issue persists only for Kaspersky applications, contact Kaspersky Customer Service.
