Error 1711 when installing a Kaspersky application

During the installation of a Kaspersky application the following error may appear: “Error 1711. An error occurred while writing installation information to disk. Check to make sure enough disk space is available, and click Retry, or Cancel to end the install.”

Solution

  1. Check if there is enough free space on the disk. To find out how much space you may need, check the system requirements:

    Free up some space, if necessary. For instructions, see this article.

  2. Clear the following folders from temporary files:
    • %temp%
    • %systemroot%\Temp
