Change the master password
For security reasons, it is recommended that you change your master password on a regular basis. If you suspect that your master password may have been compromised, change it immediately.
- Open the application pull-down menu and choose Preferences.
The application preferences window opens.
- On the General tab, in the Master password section, click Change.
The window for changing the master password opens.
- Enter your current master password.
If your device supports Touch ID and Touch ID is enabled in Kaspersky Password Manager, you can use it instead of entering the current master password.
- Enter a new master password.
- Confirm your new master password.
- Click Change to apply the new master password.

The process of updating data stored on different devices with Kaspersky Password Manager installed. Data is synced across all devices where Kaspersky Password Manager is installed as long as they are connected to the same My Kaspersky account. Data sync requires Internet access. The status of data sync is displayed in the main application window. Keeping your data up-to-date and consistent on all your devices also helps restore your data if you replace or lose a device.
