What to do if you lose data after updating to version 9.2 or later
When you first start Kaspersky Password Manager after updating from version 9.1 to version 9.2 or later, the application creates a backup copy of your vault database and then converts it to the new format. If the vault database conversion results in the loss of some or all of your data, you can try to restore your entries from the backup copy of your vault database.
- Open the main application window.
- In the menu bar, click Help > Restore from Backup.
- In the window that opens, click Restore.
Note: You can view the date when the backup copy of your vault database was created.
- Enter your master password to confirm the restoration.
The restoration process starts.
Note: You can stop the restoration process at any time. In this case, your data remains unchanged.
- After Kaspersky Password Manager completes the restoration process, click OK.
The restored data is added to your vault and appears in the application window.
Important: Any changes to the old entries that you make after the backup copy is created will be lost following the restoration process. However, all newly added entries will remain unchanged.
