“Activation code is not suitable for this application” error

  • You have entered the code corresponding to a different application.
  • You have entered the code for the obsolete version of the application into the recent application version.
  • You have entered the code corresponding to the new version of the application into the obsolete application version.


  1. Check for which application and version your activation code is issued. Follow these detailed instructions on how to do it.
  2. Find out what version of the Kaspersky Lab application is installed on your computer. See this guide.
  3. If the application version installed on your computer is up-to-date, submit a request to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support via the My Kaspersky portal, and include a detailed description of the issue. If your application is obsolete, proceed to the next step.
  4. Download the latest version of the product from the Kaspersky Lab website:
  5. Install the application and activate it with your activation code.
