"Cannot connect to My Kaspersky portal" error when installing a Kaspersky Lab product

Cause

Incorrect proxy server settings in the operating system.

Solution

Make sure that you are installing the latest version of the Kaspersky product.  

Reset proxy server settings on your computer in the following way:

  1. In the lower-left corner of your Desktop, search for Control Panel. Click the relevant result.

  1. In the Control Panel window that opens, find and click Internet Options.

  1. Go to the Advanced tab and click Reset. This will reset proxy server settings across all browsers and applications on your computer.

  1. Click Reset.

  1. Restart your computer.
