In the Notifications section, you can set up notifications that Kaspersky Endpoint Security shows to inform you about various events.

Enable notifications

This checkbox enables/disables notifications about application events.

This checkbox is selected by default.

Turn on alert sounds on malware detection

This checkbox enables/disables sound alerts when Kaspersky Endpoint Security detects a malicious object.

This checkbox is selected by default.

In the Application icon section, you can configure the application icon to be displayed in the menu bar.

Show in menu bar

This checkbox enables/disables the display of the application icon in the menu bar.

In the Reports section, you can enable/disable logging of non-critical events in Kaspersky Endpoint Security reports.

Log non-critical events

This checkbox enables/disables logging of informational events in reports. As a rule, these events are not important for the security of your computer.

In the Traces section, you can enable or disable tracing.

Tracing is a way to record detailed information about the application's activity. Kaspersky Technical Support specialists use trace files to troubleshoot issues. You can enable application event logging to create trace files and send them to Technical Support if requested. By default, application event logging is disabled.

Important: Turn on tracing only when a Technical Support specialist asks you to do so.

Enable tracing

This checkbox enables/disables creation of trace files.

This checkbox is unselected by default.

Clicking this button prevents users without administrator privileges from changing the settings of the Kaspersky Endpoint Security application.

Clicking this button opens a prompt for administrator credentials. After you enter administrator credentials, application settings become editable.
