Update Kaspersky Safe Kids
A Kaspersky Safe Kids update fixes bugs, adds new features, and improves the performance of existing features.
Kaspersky Safe Kids checks the update server once a day for new version of the application. If a new version is available, Kaspersky Safe Kids shows a notification.
If you update the premium version of Kaspersky Safe Kids, you continue to use the premium version of the application after the update.
After being updated, Kaspersky Safe Kids restarts counting the time your child spends using applications. The day's previous time statistics are deleted. If you have set application use time limits, your child may use applications longer than these time limits on the day of an update. Application use statistics are incorrect for the day of an update.
- Start installation of an update in one of the following ways:
- Click Install now in the notification.
- Open the context menu of the application icon
in the taskbar notification area, and select Install update now.
The Sign In to My Kaspersky window opens.
- Enter the password for your My Kasperskyaccount and click Next.
Kaspersky Safe Kids is paused. The Kaspersky Safe Kids welcome window opens.
- Click the What's new in version <version_number> link to open and read about the improvements.
The "What's new" help topic opens in the browser.
- Click Continue.
- Click the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy links to open and read the application's terms of use.
- If you disagree with the terms of the End User License Agreement or the Privacy Policy, cancel the installation of Kaspersky Safe Kids and do not use the application.
- If you agree with the terms of the End User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy, confirm that by selecting the appropriate check boxes.
The Install button becomes available only if you confirm that you have fully read, understood and accept the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy.
- Click the Install button.
- Wait for the update of Kaspersky Safe Kids to finish.
The application prompts you to restart the computer.
- Click the Restart now button to finish the update and resume Kaspersky Safe Kids.
Kaspersky Safe Kids resumes after the computer has restarted. After update, you will be asked to accept the Statement Regarding Data Processing for Marketing Purposes that is required so that Kaspersky Lab could make more beneficial offers to you. If you choose to accept this statement, you will be able to decline them in the application settings at any time.
To complete the application update, when the terms of the End User License Agreement or the Privacy Policy, or additional statements change, Kaspersky Safe Kids prompts you to accept new terms and conditions of the statements. Accepting the terms of the End User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy is mandatory to complete the installation and use the application. Accepting of the additional statements is optional.
