To install the Samba service and the packages necessary for operation of the Samba service, run one of the following commands depending on the utilized operating system:

CentOS or Red Hat Enterprise Linux:
yum install samba samba-client samba-winbind samba-winbind-clients krb5-workstation
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server:
zypper install samba samba-client samba-winbind
Ubuntu or Debian:
apt-get install samba winbind
