Changing the number of virtual machine processors

Before performing these instructions, make sure that the virtual machine is powered off.

To change the number of virtual machine processors:

1. Start Hyper-V Manager.
2. In the main application window, in the Virtual Machines table, select the virtual machine deployed from an ISO file.
3. Right-click to open the context menu and select Settings.

   The virtual machine properties window opens.

4. In the Hardware settings group, select the Processor section.
5. In the Number of virtual processors field, specify the number of virtual processors.

   The minimum recommended value is 8. You can specify a larger value if you require higher performance of the virtual machine.

6. Click OK.

The number of virtual machine processors will be changed.
