SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a network device management protocol.

For operations over the SNMP protocol, Kaspersky Web Traffic Security uses SNMP Agent to track information about application operation. Kaspersky Web Traffic Security can send this information as SNMP traps, notifications about application events.

For operations over the SNMP protocol, you must preconfigure the snmpd service in the operating system.

The SNMP protocol allows you to access the following information about the application:

  • general information;
  • statistics of Kaspersky Web Traffic Security from the moment of installation;
  • Information about runtime events of the application.

Access to information is read-only.

Information about SNMP traps and statistics sent over the SNMP protocol is stored in the MIB database.
