Activate Kaspersky Internet Security
Important: Before activating Kaspersky Internet Security, make sure that the date and time set on your computer match the actual date and time.
Activating the application involves adding a key to the application.
Note: An Internet connection is required to activate the application.
- Open the main application window.
- In the bottommost pane of the main application window, click
.
The Licensing window opens.
- In the Licensing window, click the Try button.
- In the Activate Trial Version window, click the Activate Trial Version button.
Kaspersky Internet Security connects to Kaspersky Lab activation servers and sends data for verification. If verification is successful, the application receives and adds a key for the free trial version.
Click the Finish button to finish activating the application.
Important: A trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security can be activated only if the application has not been previously activated on the computer.
Activate the application with an activation code
- Open the main application window.
- In the bottommost pane of the main application window, click
.
The Licensing window opens.
- In the Licensing window, click the Activate button.
- In the Application Activation window, enter the activation code that you received when purchasing Kaspersky Internet Security.
Note: An activation code is a unique combination of twenty Latin letters and numbers in the form xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-ххххх.
Kaspersky Internet Security connects to Kaspersky Lab activation servers and sends the activation code to verify its authenticity. If the activation code is successfully verified, the application automatically receives and adds the key.
Note: Depending on the activation code you have received, you may need to fill out a registration form or register on the My Kaspersky portal.
If activation code cannot be verified, a corresponding notification is displayed. In this case, contact the software vendor that supplied you with this activation code.
Activate the application using a Kaspersky Small Office Security activation code
- Open the main application window.
- In the bottommost pane of the main application window, click
.
The Licensing window opens.
- In the Licensing window, enter the Kaspersky Small Office Security activation code.
Note: An activation code is a unique combination of twenty Latin letters and numbers in the form xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-ххххх.
- Click the Activate button.
- If you accepted the terms of participation in Kaspersky Security Network when installing Kaspersky Internet Security on the computer, the application prompts you to confirm your participation in Kaspersky Security Network. In the Kaspersky Security Network Statement window that opens, click the Accept button.
To opt out of participating in Kaspersky Security Network, click the Decline button in the Kaspersky Security Network Statement window.
Note: If you rejected participation in Kaspersky Security Network when installing Kaspersky Internet Security on the computer, the application does not show the Kaspersky Security Network Statement window.
Kaspersky Internet Security connects to Kaspersky Lab activation servers and sends the activation code to verify its authenticity. If the activation code is successfully verified, the application automatically receives and adds the key.
After you have activated the application with the activation code, you can view the following information in the Licensing window:
- Key
- Key or subscription status
- The number of computers on which you can use the application under the current license or subscription
- License expiration date and time
- Number of days until license expiration
