Kaspersky Safe Kids for Microsoft Windows

How to respond to the child's permission requests in Kaspersky Safe Kids

The child has access to the Request permission feature. The child can use it to request your permission to visit forbidden websites or use forbidden applications.

You can respond to child requests via the My Kaspersky portal or from your smartphone or tablet if Kaspersky Safe Kids is installed on them.

You will receive one of the following alerts in real time:

  • Child requests permission to visit website: <Site web address>.
  • Child requests permission to use application: <Application name>.

You can visit the site or find information about the application to form your own idea about them. You can also speak to the child in person and find out why he or she needs a particular website or application. Make your decision known to the child using the Allow or Deny buttons.

Your decision is automatically relayed to the child's computer.

The child sees one of the following messages:

  • You can now visit the website <Site web address>.
  • You can now use the application <Application name>.
  • This website may harm you. Please do not visit <Site web address>.
  • This application may harm you. Please do not use <Application name>.

If you allow a child to visit a website or to use an application, Kaspersky Safe Kids makes the appropriate changes to the protection settings on the My Kaspersky portal. The website or application allowed by you is automatically added to the exclusions and becomes continually available to the child.

If you wish to change your decision, you can remove the website or application from exclusions. You can find out more about this in the My Kaspersky portal help.
