Kaspersky Safe Kids for Microsoft Windows

Checking if the child is protected

First method

This method lets you check the status of protection of only one child. If two children use the same computer, you need to perform the check twice.

To check child protection on the computer:

  1. Sign in to Windows using the child's account.
  2. Point the mouse pointer at the application icon in the taskbar notification area.

One of the following tips pops up:

  • Kaspersky Safe Kids protects <Child's name>.

The account was prepared for the child and Kaspersky Safe Kids monitors the activity of the child who uses this account.

  • Account is not protected.

The account has not been prepared for the child. Kaspersky Safe Kids does not monitor the activity of the user of this account. If the child uses this account, link it to the child's profile.

Second method

To check the status of child protection on the computer,

click the Children's profiles link in the main application window.

One of the following status labels appears next to the child's name:

  • Not protected on this computer.

There is no user account prepared for the child on this computer. If the child uses this computer, protect the child.

  • <Account name> uses the account.

The specified user account has been prepared for the child. The child is protected by Kaspersky Safe Kids when the child uses this account to sign in to Windows.
