Enabling, disabling, or deleting expressions

You can enable or disable Content Filtering expressions. The expression status is displayed on the settings page of the Content Filtering module, in the Expressions table. When created, the expression is saved with the Enabled status. If an expression is disabled, it is not used in message scanning.

To enable or disable an expression:

  1. In the application web interface window, select the Rules section.
  2. In the rule table, select the rule in which you want to enable or disable the Content Filtering expression.

    This opens the View rule window.

  3. In the left pane, select the Content Filtering section.
  4. In the Expressions table, in the row of the relevant expression, do one of the following:
    • If you want to enable the expression, set the toggle switch to On.
    • If you want to disable the expression, set the toggle switch to Off.

The expression is enabled or disabled.

To delete one or more expressions:

  1. In the application web interface window, select the Rules section.
  2. In the rule table, select the rule in which you want to delete a Content Filtering expression.

    This opens the View rule window.

  3. In the left pane, select the Content Filtering section.
  4. Click Edit.

    Content Filtering settings become editable.

  5. In the Expressions table, select the check boxes next to one or more expressions that you want to delete, then click Delete.
  6. Confirm the deletion.
  7. Click OK.

The expressions are deleted.
