Description

Exclusion scope name

Field for entering the exclusion scope name. This name will be displayed in the Scan exclusions table.

The entry field must not be blank.

Use this scope in the scan task

This check box enables or disables the exclusion of this scope when an on-demand scan task is performed.

If this check box is selected, Kaspersky Endpoint Security excludes this scope when the scan task is performed.

If this check box is cleared, Kaspersky Endpoint Security includes this scope when the scan task is performed. You can later exclude this scope from scanning by selecting the check box.

This check box is selected by default.

File system

In this drop-down list, you can specify the path to the objects to be excluded from protection:

  • Local displays the absolute path available via the Samba or NFS protocols.
  • Shared excludes resources shared via the Samba and NFS protocols (depends on the Access protocol setting).
  • All shared excludes all resources shared via the Samba and NFS protocols.

The Local option is selected by default.

Access protocol

In this drop-down list, you can select the remote access protocol:

  • NFS
  • Samba

This drop-down list is available if Mounted is selected in the drop-down list of file systems.

Path

Entry field for specifying the path to the directory that you want to include in the exclusion scope.

This field is available if Local is selected in the drop-down list of file systems.

This field cannot be empty to save the exclusion scope.

Masks

This list contains masks of the names of objects that Kaspersky Endpoint Security excludes from the scan while running the Anti-Cryptor task.

By default, the list contains the * mask (all objects).

You can add, edit, and delete masks.
