Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints 6.0

Opening a bank website in a browser started in normal mode

Depending on the settings specified by the licensed bank, protected websites can open both in a browser started in normal mode or in Protected Browser.

When you open a protected website in a browser started in normal mode, the application verifies the security of the connection:

  • Verifies the authenticity of a protected web page, by using a service to verify website certificates
  • Provides DNS protection
  • Searches for, disinfects, and deletes active and inactive malware
  • Checks your computer for operating system vulnerabilities that may be used for theft of private data
  • Scans the kernel memory of the operating system for rootkits

The application does not verify the connection to websites of unlicensed banks.

If no threats are detected, the application notifies the user about this using a green pop-up message in the lower right corner of the browser.

If the application detects any threats while running checks, such as malware or a spoofed certificate of the bank website, a relevant orange-colored message appears in the browser window.

Connection security verification is also performed in other browsers, such as a 64-bit version of Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Microsoft Edge.
