Performance traces are detailed records of actions that are performed by the application and are related to the application’s performance.

To create a performance trace file:

  1. In the main application window, click the Support button.

    The Support window opens.

    • with rotation.

Select this item to enable tracing and to limit the maximum size of a trace file. When the file size reaches the maximum size, the application starts overwriting the oldest lines in this file.

If this item is selected, you can specify the maximum size for a trace file in the Maximum file size field.

  4. In the Level drop-down list, select one of the following trace levels:
    • Light. If this option is selected, Kaspersky Endpoint Security analyses main operating system processes affecting performance during tracing.
    • Detailed. If this option is selected, Kaspersky Endpoint Security analyses all operating system processes affecting performance during tracing.
  5. In the Tracing type drop-down list, select one of the following trace levels:
    • Basic information. If this item is selected, tracing is performed while the operating system is running.
    • On restart. If this item is selected, tracing is performed only while the operating system is restarted.
  6. Restart Kaspersky Endpoint Security.
  7. To stop the tracing process, return to the Information for Technical Support window and select is disabled in the Performance traces drop-down list.

After creating the trace file, you can proceed to uploading the trace results to the Kaspersky server.
