Importing data from browsers
Kaspersky Password Manager lets you import account credentials from browsers. If you have saved website logins and passwords in password managers embedded into browsers, you can easily transfer this data to Kaspersky Password Manager and store it under the protection of a master password.
During the import, the application copies the logins and passwords from the selected browser and adds the accounts in the Websites section. When importing, the application automatically assigns names to websites based on the addresses of those websites.
To import data from a password manager embedded into a browser:
- Open the main application window.
- In the lower part of the window, click the
button.
- In the application tray menu, select the Settings item.
The application settings window opens.
- In the left part of the window, select the Import/export data section.
- In the drop-down list of the Import data from browsers section, select the browser in which the account credentials are saved.
- Click the Import button.
Account credentials will be copied from the password manager into Kaspersky Password Manager. Once the import is complete, the application will display a window containing a report on the number of imported accounts.
- Click the Continue button to exit the report window.
