Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server has the following hardware and software requirements:
- Minimum hardware requirements:
- Intel® Xeon® 3040 or Intel Core™ 2 Duo 1.86 GHz or faster processor.
- 2 GB RAM;
- at least 4 GB available for swap;
- 8 GB available on the hard drive to install the application and store temporary files and log files.
- Software requirements:
- One of the following 64-bit operating systems:
- CentOS 6.9.
- CentOS 7.4.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4.
- Ubuntu Server 14.04.5 LTS.
- Ubuntu Server 16.04.4 LTS.
- Debian GNU / Linux 9.3.
- FreeBSD™ 11.1.
- Astra Linux SE 1.5. Only if capability-based access restriction and closed software environment development mechanisms are disabled.
- Astra Linux SE 1.6. Only if capability-based access restriction and closed software environment development mechanisms are disabled.
- Alt Linux 7.0.5.
- Rocky Linux 8.7.
The application does not support Alt Linux 8, 9, 10.
- Availability of the following packages of 32-bit libraries on 64-bit operating systems:
- ia32-libs for Debian and Ubuntu;
- libgcc.i686, glibc.i686 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS;
- libgcc-32bit, glibc-32bit for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server;
- lib32 for FreeBSD 64bit;
- compat9x for FreeBSD 10;
- glibc.i686, libxcrypt.i686 for Rocky Linux 8.7.
- Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server requires the Perl 5 programming language of version 5.8.5 or later.
- Availability of the following modules for CentOS 7.4 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4:
- perl-Data-Dumper
- perl-Digest-MD5
- One of the following 64-bit operating systems:
Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server supports integration with the following mail servers:
- Exim 4.86 to 4.92.
Integration with versions 4.93 to 4.96 requires an upgrade package. You can obtain it by contacting Technical Support.
- Postfix-2.6 or later.
Integration using Milter requires an upgrade package. You can obtain it by contacting Technical Support.
Other integration types work without additional configuration.
- Sendmail-8.14 or later.
- Qmail-1.03 or later.
Mail server applications must be installed from the official repository of a supported operating system.
Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server does not support XFS file systems larger than 2 TB with 64-bit index descriptors.

To run the web interface of Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server, one of the following browsers must be installed on the computer:
- Mozilla™ Firefox™ 59 or later.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer® 11 or later.
- Google Chrome™ version 65 or later.
To enable the operation of the web interface of Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server, an Apache 2.4 web server must be installed on the computer hosting the web interface.
