Manually configuring the application

If you are using Debian or Ubuntu in a language other than English, you must change the language of the operating system prior to starting initial configuration of the application.

To manually configure the application:

  1. Run the application configuration script. To do so, execute the command:

    /opt/kaspersky/kwts/bin/setup.py --install

  2. Select the language for viewing the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy. To do so, type the number displayed next to the language that you want to select, and press ENTER.
  3. Please express your acceptance or rejection of the End User License Agreement. To do so:
    1. Press ENTER to read the text of the End User License Agreement.
    2. Press the q key to exit the viewing mode.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • If you want to accept the terms of the End User License Agreement, type yes.
      • If you want to reject the terms of the End User License Agreement, type no.
    4. Press ENTER.

    If you rejected the terms of the End User License Agreement, application configuration will not be performed.

  4. Please express your acceptance or rejection of the Privacy Policy. To do so:
    1. Press ENTER to read the text of the Privacy Policy.
    2. Press the q key to exit the viewing mode.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • If you want to accept the terms of the Privacy Policy, type yes.
      • If you want to reject the terms of the Privacy Policy, type no.
    4. Press ENTER.

    If you rejected the terms of the Privacy Policy, application configuration will not be performed.

  5. Please express your acceptance or rejection of the default values for the protection settings. To do so:
    1. Press ENTER to read a description of the default protection settings.
    2. Press the q key to exit the viewing mode.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • If you want to accept the default protection settings, type yes.
      • If you want to reject the default protection settings, type no.
    4. Press ENTER.

    If you did not agree to setting the default protection settings, application configuration is not performed.

    After installation, you can change these settings in the application web interface in the Rules section.

  6. Type the IP address of the network interface used for interaction with other nodes of the cluster and press ENTER.

    The current active IP address is used by default.

  7. Specify the port used for interaction with other nodes of the cluster and press ENTER.

    It is recommended to use the default value of 9045.

  8. Set the local administrator password.

    The password must contain:

    • At least 15 characters
    • Only ASCII characters (A-Z, a-z), numerals, and special characters
    • The following types of characters:
      • Uppercase character (A-Z).
      • Lowercase character (a-z).
      • Number.
      • Special character

    You can change the local administrator password in the web interface in the Local administrator section after the application is installed.

Application configuration will be completed. After this, you need to add a server to the cluster to manage application settings through the web interface.
