Changing the language of the operating system

To correctly install Kaspersky Web Traffic Security in Debian or Ubuntu operating systems, you must use English as the language of the operating system. Otherwise, installation of the application may end with an error.

To change the operating system language to English:

  1. Run the localization configuration tool. To do so, execute the command:

    dpkg-reconfigure locales

    The Configuring locales window opens.

  2. Select en_US.UTF8 and click OK.
  3. In the default language configuration window, select en_US.UTF-8 and click OK.

The operating system language will be changed to English. After installation and initial configuration of the application, you can set the operating system language to your previously used language.
