This command lets you allow or deny root account access to the SVM using SSH.

The new settings are applied after the SVM is restarted or the SSH service is restarted (the manageservices restart sshd command).

Settings

<AllowOrNot> = yes|no – possible values:

  • yes — allow root account access to the SVM using SSH.
  • no — deny root account access to the SVM using SSH.

    Example:

    > ssh klconfig@10.16.98.17 permitrootlogin yes

    > klconfig@10.16.98.17’s password:

    Permit root login = yes

    KLCONFIG OK
